1999 T Reg Honda CBR 1100 CBR1100 Blackbird NO RESERVE

This Blackbird is the first of the fuel injected, and I am told the most powerful of them all.

Being sold as the owner wants something more upright, like a Varadero 1000.

First the bad news, the bike had a very slow (5mph!!) spill which has scuffed up the right hand fairing side. A replacement can be found on eBay for around £40 - £50 and then you have fixed 99% of the damage. The remaining damage is a slight scuff to the silencer.

Now for the good news, and plenty of it!

The bike does benefit from two new Dunlop tyres, and new brake pads on the front. She starts and runs like a dream. The engine sounds spot on, no smoke, rattles or any untoward noises. She is MOT'd until January 2010 and I see no reason why she wont fly through the next one.

The chain & sprockets look very good, kept well oiled by a Scot Oiler fitted under the seat. There is no service history with this bike, and only the current MOT. I am told all the paperwork got lost in a house move. It does however, come with both Honda HISS keys. Apart from the essential hugger, and dinky rear indicators this bike is completely standard as Mr Honda intended.

These bikes are the ultimate touring machine. immensely powerful, immeasurably comfortable and they do two up with luggage with ease. Many people tour Europe on these and compliment the bike on how great it is. But then if you are looking at this ad, you already know this!

A low starting bid and no reserve!

In short, a totally sound machine, which requires only a cosmetic panel to look very, very good.
