Sept 1999 (2000MY) Saab Aero Auto Estate, with the addition of a PRINS LPG kit Mileage - 178500 MOT - October 2010 No road tax Registered with DVLA as petrol/gas, so has the benefit of lpg with regards to the congestion charges Engine/gearbox The LPG kit has been fitted since October 2005 costing £2k and is certified - the mileage on the car at the time of fitting was 125k miles. This is a donut type lpg tank, fitted in the spare wheel well, and has a capacity of 67l. The PRINS setup is a known good make of LPG installation, and being a multipoint setup, the transition from petrol to LPG is seemless. With LPG currently at around 56.9p, the economy is nearly double that of normal I was told by the previous owner that the engine was replaced with a secondhand unit 25k miles ago. There have been no reported problems during these miles. The engine pulls well, shows no signs of oil usage, and appears to be producing the appropriate power (230bhp). The gearbox has smooth shifts and all the modes (winter/sports) work as they should. Chassis and Suspension The rear trailing arm bushes were replace in April 2009, the rear dampers in May 2009 Interior The interior all appears to be in good condition, the seats are in pretty good condition, with no rips or burns. The aircon work perfectly, nice and cold. The front seats should be heated, but these appear not to work. The car features cruise control, steering wheel functions for the radio, and a CD multchanger in the boot. Bodywork. The car has seen a few miles in its life, and as such is not in perfect condition, however, I do beleive that it is a fair example for both its miles and age. There are some marks to the front and rear bumpers, and a very small amount of rust bubble starting at the back of the rear wheel arches, but there is no evidence of any accident repairs that I can see. Wheels and Tyres The wheels have all got surface corrosion, along with scuff marks, but they're all round and true. The tyres have all got excellent tread. History There is a lot of history in the file for the car, both for work done, and old MOT's going back to 2002 Any buyers with less than 5 positive feedback will have their bids cancelled unless you get in touch with me first. The winning bidder must get in touch within 24 hours of the auction end, and collect within 7 days unless arranged otherwise prior to the end of the auction. If you have any questions, please get in touch and I'll answer the best I can. |
