Up for auction is my blue Kawasaki ZX9r ZX900 C1.A need for slightly more bum comfort means we are parting company.
This is my 2nd C1 and they have both been excellent bikes.
This has one previous owner, and he said the bike had never been dropped let alone gone down the road.Judging by it's
condition I believe him.It has 27250 on the clock,(May have a few more on purchase but only 100 or so).
It runs superbly with no engine/gearbox problems and no rattles/clunks/knocks etc.
Overall it is in really good condition for a 9 year old bike, there are virtually no marks/scuffs on the plastic panels,
certainly no cracks. There are a few stone chips on the tank about 2mm in size.Picture10 shows the one on the Right
side of the tank about 1cm above the K in Kawasaki,Pic 11 shows some on left hand side again above the Kawasaki
logo. The other marks are reflections/dried washing marks. The front indicators are mini ones but the standard ones are included as is a small No. plate.
You are welcome to come and have a look/sniff the exhaust etc.but if you want a test ride bring a decent wedge as deposit.
I know of no problems with this bike and the three I've sold previously on ebay got good feedback.
The bike will come with the black wheels in Picture 12,as the tyres on the gold wheels are just about done.
The gold wheels will be offered to the winner at a very good price if desired as will some other spares I got for my previous C1.
The MOT runs until 23/07/08 and with the other wheels and tyres should have no problems at the test station.(Less than 1000 miles since the last one).
Rear is a Dunlop D207 with less than 500 miles on it,front is a Pirelli Diablo, approx half worn.
The bike is advertised locally, and may be removed at any time.
You will not be disappointed if you get this bike.
Anybody with less than +10 feedback, please get in touch before bidding otherwise I'll remove your bid.
Winner is required to make contact and pay a £200 deposit via paypal within 24 hours.
The balance can be paid in any way suitable to the purchaser but cheques etc.must clear beforehand.
The bike is datatagged.Delivery nationwide is possible.(I've used Helmesley transport in the past and they are reliable and friendly)
The performance is astonishing, with power everywhere in the rev range,in top gear at any revs it makes my VFR 750 feel as if two
plug caps have fallen off,it is also more economical than the VFR.In short it is lovely, but my backside craves more comfort as tempus fugits.
The chain and sprockets are good, and the discs have hardly any wear.
My computer access is limited so emails may take a while to answer. But I'll do the best I can, especially if you want to see the bike.
It is near the Heriot Watt Uni West of Edinburgh.
I'll just repeat it's lovely and you will not be disappointed.Cheers,Chris.
On 09-May-08 at 11:55:16 BST, seller added the following information:The stickers do not hide any damage, they were added by the first owner.
On 14-May-08 at 14:20:56 BST, seller added the following information:P.S. The spares on offer include wheels/forks/shock/calipers/ignition box (I refuse to call it a CDI when it isn't),hugger and double bubble screen, assuming I can find them all.
P.P.S. Does anybody know of an insurance company/broker that still offers Rider Policy cover? (Bikes not horses).
If so please get in touch.Thanks.
