BMW R1100RT 1998 R reg

This is my R1100RT for sale.  I’ve had it a little over 2 years and originally bought it for commuting to London, which it did very well without complaint for 6 months. I now have a job 10 minutes from home so the bike gets very little use now, hence it’s time to sell it. Since I’ve had it it’s been great, never any problems just a reliable work horse that starts every time first time and munches the miles in comfort.

It is a very nice dark metallic grey colour and the body work is in great condition for it’s age, just give it a wash and it comes up beautiful. It is clear that I and all the previous owners have looked after it. The only obvious cosmetic fault is some bubbling of the plastic coating on the right hand cylinder head (see photo). The BMW dealer said this is quite common with BM’s of this age and can easily be sorted.

It has done just over 40900 miles. It has a full BMW service history, taxed until end of July and MOT till August, it has the riders manual, service booklet and 1 standard & 2 spare keys they fit all locks. I also have a pack of old MOT’s and paper work. I recently replaced the battery as it had drained down through lack of use and the rear tyre is quite new less than 1000m, the front is low and will need replacing with in 1000m and it is due a service as last service was at 34500m.

Usual extras ABS, BMW large hard panniers, heated grips, electric wind screen, engine covers and handle bar cruise control.

Please arrange to collect bike within 2 weeks of auction ending and a deposit of £100 via pay pal will be needed within 24 hours of auction ending. Please pay the balence in cash on collection. If you have any trouble with this please contact me before the end of the auction, and I'm sure we can sort something. If paid for I could deliver the bike in a 50 mile radius of Ramsgate i.e. London for petrol costs and the return fare.
