For sale reluctantly is my late model ford probe.

 

It is in great condition I looked at a lot of ford probes and this is a great example. It has had only 1 owner since 5000 miles basicly and full ford history/ receipts and satmped service history with no expence spared.

It has aircon, leather, cruise control, electric seats/windows/mirrors/sunroof/aerial
etcetc

One great thing It has got heaps of receipts and full ford s/h booklet and receipts.
loads of olds mots, nearly all back to low milage and old tax discs.

at 110000 had new rear brake pads
2 new front tyres £85
and £100's in receipts for stuff done at that milage which was only expensive as they got it done at ford dealership to pricy if you ask me. Had a fair few other bits done. headlight lamp, cv boot.

Its been well looked after, inside is very nice condition.

 

Cambelt last done at 74000 miles from receipt

It drives very well I think no faults, electrical or mechanicly, no knocks, bangs leaks or anything wrong which is rare on these cars from experience. The fan speeds 1-3 are in op 4 works ok( simple fix of resistor card under gloove box £15-20 from most scrappies). Also the passengers lock failed was like it when i bought it. Common fault where the clip breaks and dosent allow entry of key in lock. The drivers one just failed too other week arg!!. So I got a lock and key of a contact I know and fitted it on drivers side. So it opens fine now on central locking. Would benifit two new locks at some point but is still fine as it is just has two keys now.

Boot struts work sometimes and not others.

 

The body work is very good, no dents or dings. It has a small spot of rust on the sunroof edge, thats all and odd bit on inner bootlid and odd specks on rear quarter from chips. It has a few stone chips and odd scraches around the car due to age and milage but not very noticable at all. But very good on the hole for age and milage. The paintwork is a tad flat and could do with a really good buff and polish. Not done myself due to heath problems.

The interior is lovely condition very well kept and leather is very good condition.

 

Overall a very nice low owners car I know all the history on this car and that why I bought it.


The owner before me has maintained it at ford very well and done any mechanicals needed. Underneath is fine and cant fault any aspect of it drives fine inall areas.. It is in excellent condition feels very tight and solid. Its basicly 1 owner car for 10 years and most of it milage. It had 1 owner until 5000miles and then the last until recently. I've done about 1k in it. Genuine reason for sale,  personal/heath reasons. I think it has had a very easy life as he was in his 50's and was very respectable and thought i test drove it to quick. It certanly feels very solid and looked after.


There has been a new front o2 sensor fitted too as I tried the fault codes to see if had any issues. Now there is no fault codes which is rare as most have some form of faults on them. Have a fault code wire and instructions included too.

This probe took ages to find in this condition and a looked after well cared for example, not the usual rubbish worn out car with lots of faults. viewed a fair lot of ropey ones too.

This feels a good solid ones and apparently the later ones were much better built too.

 

All the controls are very light, has a smooth gearchange adjustable leather seat up and down and lumbar adjustment on both parts of seat. The Cruise control and can accelerate and decerate with a button to on steering wheel. Split fold rear seat and a huge boot space. A lots of spec for the money and very easy to drive. The engine runs sweet and no problems at all with it, no fluid or oil leaks or smoking. I checked this car over very carefully on buying.

 

If you want a decent honest probe look no further,

 

 There are cheaper ones about but will proberly cost you a lot to get right as these cars can cost a lot in mainteince and to repair. Just being honest. Nearly all are tatty and have problems. This probe has no major or expensive repairs needed and has a full mot.

 

I May possibly take a cheaper px or exchange alough want to sell it really. May tak esomething i dont really need or want but wouldnt be able to offer a good deal. I dont want anything with mechancal problems thanks. I was going to put it on autotrader but due to minor issues fan speeds and passenger lock etc thought id try here. I've sold a few cars before on here and alway list as much as possible and everyones been happy who has bought my car in past. I did have a few offers before the lock broke on the car but couldnt sell as was unuseable. So  I have set the start price below those offers.

 

Would be interested in a mr2 mk1 or a 4dr hatchback,  vw golf gti 16v toyota celica gt or try me ?
