Listed Here is My 1996 Volkswagon Golf GTI Anniversary Edition

The car has been well maintained and looked after bt myself for the past three years and i have to say it has been a great car.

I now own a VR6 and unfortunately cant afford to keep them both.

The engine in the car is the 2.0ltr 8Valve which is a nice torquey engine and has no rattles or coughs.

Over the past few years of owning the car I have changed a few parts and subtley modified the car. The following is all detailed below.

The car originally had a set of 16" BBS alloys which were changed for a set of 17" wheels of a smilar style powder coated black.

The wheels have a few curbs on them but new tyres were fitted about six months ago, now still having a good 6mm of tread.

It is fitted with a Cat back stainless exhaust.

Lowered -40mm on Gmax Shocks and Springs

The 8Valve golfs have a few common faults which I have come across and have change the following parts for new ones.

Distributor

Crank position sensor

fuel pump

ignition coil

HT Leads - Replaced with magnecore competition 8.5mm leads

due to all these things being changed the car should be good for many more happy years of motoring.

The Cam Belt was changed at 90000 miles and was fully serviced at the same time.

There is a couple of minor bad points about the car but nothing major.

There is a small scab of rust on the bottom of the drivers door about the size of a 2 pence peice (see pictures)

There is a couple of small scabs of rust on the tailgate just above the number plate (see pictures)

There is a peice of plastice trim missing off the drivers sideskirt (see pictures)

There are a couple of dints and chips on the car as you would expect for a car of this age.
