This car is very reliable and has started everytime, first time with out fail. the car comes with 5 Alloy wheels and passed its last MOT with flying colours only 1 minor note for the front tyre being worn. there are a few bad bits which i'm going to list: 1. small dent in the boot of the car nothing major may even be able to push it back out. 2. you can see in the picture on the roof next to the sun roof the grey primer patch, this was due to some major rust bubbles which i treated with rust formula but it is begining to come through again, but the sun roof does'nt leak. 3. Drivers drive shaft gator has split recently and replacement will be required for the MOT, i have seen complete drive shafts on ebay for around £60 new for both sides (you cannot buy just the gators). 4. the enigne requires water to be put in the radiator every couple of days or so (depending on how far you drive each day) this is due to a leak which i believe is coming from the thermostat housing. 5. on the passenger door you can see the black strip has come off you can get these from a breakers for a few quid. 6. there is a CD player in the car unfortunatly it wont pla CD's but you can listen to the radio. 7. the handbrake requires adjustment.(i adjusted the handbrake using the adjustment nut behind the handbrake lever in the car, i then went and bought replacement brake pads for the rear which also have an adjusment on them, but i forgot i had adjusted the handbrake lever and fitted the new pads and adjusted them. later on i then realised that the pads and lever need readjusting back to how they should be, i have not done this and now the handbrake will not stop the car rolling away until its been readjusted, and this will require 2 locking nuts to adjust the rear pads). on the whole this has been a great little car and has served my girl friend as her first car for a couple of years now and she is sad to see it go, the work required is minimal and even a novice mechanic can sort this with out much problem. the tax run out at the end of september and is registered as SORN, the only reason we are selling the car is the fact i now ride a motorbike and we no longer need a second car, otherwise i would be fixing it myself for the MOT in december. Will need to be taken on a trailer as registered as SORN and finally log book has been misplaced i will be searching for it over the next few days and i will update the listing once found, otherwise i ill go online and request a new log book and then forward it on to the new owner of the car. (we will exchange details including a recipt for the sale of the car if log book is not found in time). |
