This sale is for my Land rover Defender 300tdi County Station Wagon, unfortunately up for sale to fund my new project
I have owned this landy for about 5 years,(and will be sad to see it go), during that time, it has undergone a serious makeover.
This is the third 110 county I have owned and renovated (see Pics)
Since I became the owner, I have spent about £18,000 on repairs, re-sprays, and modifications and taken it around the uk fishing and camping with the family.
This landy is great to drive, and yes, it is a head turner, (especially when the stereo is pumping), I have de-tuned it for economy, and you can expect about 30mpg, but it can be altered for performance, and has reached speeds of over 100mph, but expect the consumption to be about 18mpg, I will set it up for how the new owner wants it.
The engine runs perfectly, and has been well looked after, with no black smoke , even under full throttle, it has done 30,000 miles on the current timing belt, Land Rover recommend replacement every 70,000, she only uses full synthetic engine oil (not the cheap crap) which is why it runs so well, expect to use about 1 ltr per 1000miles which is better than some new cars, she is serviced every 6 months without fail.
The body work is fantastic for the age, when I first got it, the first thing done was 4 new door skins, all the body panels are straight, with the exception of the rear door, which has a few dents, and the front wing has a small dent, some oxidation is evident In a couple of places, but to be quiet honest, its overall condition is better than some two year old defenders, she must be viewed to be appreciated.
The chasis is in good order and was waxed about a year ago, the rest of the underside is fair, and painted with oil every 6 months (used engine oil ) this stops any rust from getting worse.
