1995 (21 March).
Greetings stamps. "Greetings in Art".
(1st) class, "La Danse a la Campagne" (Renoir), fine used on cover, clearly showing the rare error "silver (Queen's Head and 1st) and phosphor omitted".
Fine used on postally used cover to Cheddar, Somerset.
[The mint pane of 10 with the same error is listed as SG 1858ab, catalogued at £10,000 !].
An extremely rare and desirable item, very probably unique single usage thus on this stamp, and proves a) more than this pane exists, and b) an error booklet was sold to the public.
SG 1858ab.
Interesting thought: What did the unwitting owners do with the other 9 stamps of this pane? - no doubt "out there" used on mail, or sitting in kiloware, or unwittingly thrown away !
