Very eye catching well cared for 4 seater sports car. This has been my pride and joy for the last 8 years, a powerful car but owned by a middle aged guy with great respect for the vehicle with every care taken to preserve its mechanical and cosmetic condition. Not been thrashed, in very good condition throughout with only minor imperfections on paintwork, and slight scuffing around rim of the 18 inch alloys but not to distract from the overall stunning appearance. Interior is in excellent condition, standard other than some addition chrome trim. This is the non-turbo version but with plentiful power nontheless and with cheaper insurance, running and maintenance costs than that of the turbo version, and to be honest, I've never used the full power that is available from this car so why pay more to run the extra turbo! A great feature of this car is its capability of carrying 4 adults, in fact I've carried 5! having a full size back seat, not the slimline child bench or 2 seater of many other sports cars. The boot space is also enough for a suitcase and has a ski shoot - an opening through the rear seats for longer items of luggage. Mechanically this car is standard, with ABS, power steering, electric windows, although there are many additions available to gain more power, I have kept it as it was made, with the exception of a K&N lifetime Air Filter, there are no modificacations to worry about going wrong. The car has had 2 previous owners and I have some service history from them, but, being employed at the local Fiat and Renault dealers, I have had hands on expertise available to assist with regular servicing and any maintenance without the cost of my having to pay for another garage to look after it that I would not trust as much as the technicians I know. The car has recent low profile tyres all in excellent condition, full new standard exhaust, new brake disks and pads all round in the last year. Gearbox and clutch are faultless, battery is a year old. There is a built in immobiliser and remote central locking, CD player, 2 airbags, locking wheelnuts. The car runs very well, sounds great, starts with no problems all year round. Over the last 8 years the car has appeared at many car shows and is well known in my home town and has been a joy to drive and be seen in, but over the last year it has been used only back and forth to work, with no time for play or shows, so I have reluctantly made the descision to buy a small Mercedes Smart car for travel to work, otherwise I would have no hesitation to keep this car for many more years. MOT is to end of January 2009 and Road Tax to end of August 2008. I reserve the right to end the auction early as it is advertised for sale elsewhere.
