You're invited to bid on a 1994 L-reg (the number has been partially blanked out for privacy reasons) Seat Ibiza CLI. As we took the car out of the UK close to 18 months ago, it is no longer taxed and has no MOT. We were planning to take it to Lithuania, but that country has some silly law that says you cannot import a right-hand drive car over there.
The car is in a pretty good state, except for the battery which is currently so dead that it won't even start with auxiliary start cables. It was last used in February, when we drove to Lithuania and back (4,000 km/2,500 miles) without any problems. It's done over 113,900 miles, uses almost no oil and might be a good source for spare parts, both rear tires have less than 10,000 miles on them and the front-brakes were replaced about 5,000 miles ago.
Yes, there is some rust, but until we got our new car it has always been kept in a garage.
It's currently in Belgium and we have have no intention to get it taxed or insured again to be able to get it back into the UK, so the buyer has to pick it up.
There are three ways of paying for the car:
- Cash upon pickup (both EUR & GBP)
- A cheque, which has to clear before pickup, which will take about two weeks
- Direct BACS/Internet banking transfer to my UK account
Thank you for looking.
