6 Months MOT, 6 Months Tax,

New front tyre, new brake hoses and pads Mileage 24,000, Recent oil change, plugs etc. and starts first time. M Reg, has a crack and scratches on rear nearside plastic fairing and there are 2 cracks on the adjacent plastic side panel otherwise this is a very tidy machine. I've include photos of the scratches and the cracks so you can see them for yourself, the cracks are barely noticable.

May 18th - Sunday Ride on the GPX Nice day today and had that rare chance of an hour or so to myself so I took the bike out for a run. Gave her full choke, pressed the start button and bingo she's off racing straight away, eased back to half way and let her warm up while I sorted out the leathers and put on my lid. Started heading off out of Louth and onto the the Horncastle road, warmed up fairly quickly the chokes off and I'm setting her nose into a few fairly tight bends on the road past cadwell Park. Plenty of bikes out today. Great road surface gives me plenty of confidence to open up the throttle and burn through the leafy lanes. The GPX has a real perky feel to it, not a bit like a 4 stroke it reminds me of a YPVS 350 LC I used to have, very high revving - not as light as an LC of course but responsive and considerably safer. Most of the time just easing the throttle back is enough to accelerate to get it into the zone and the speedo needle rises swiftly. Behind a car with a trailer, see a gap and a sharp twist of the right hand and here we goooooooo woah yes. Ease back and lay it into the next bend and I'm through into Horncastle. God the roads here are bumpy, suspension at the back is set fairly hard and it doesn't feel as happy on the B road as I stroll along avoiding the pot holes to Woodhall Spa. Out of Woodhall and there's a decent stretch of tarmac to New York (yes the real New York is in Lincolnshire - not the city , the hamlet) Take it easy to start and then wind it up - super speed the bike - shifts through the gears so smoorthly 3rd , 4th 5th in rapid succession effortless changes. into top and then get so excited try to select 7th ! Very long stretch here leads into boston and stop to get some fuel. Fill her up for £13 (covered about 140 miles I think since last fill) and then into the town and a mirriad of trafic lights. Tail about a dozen bikes going through the town and then we're all out and heading back towards the Wolds. As we all leave the flat of the Fens the bends start coming in droves, neat, tidy punching on, the GPX racing and revving - its sweet - a buzz, keeping up with the modern Kawasaki in front (a 600 as well) twisting, keeping the line and matching the new bikes ahead turn for turn. Up into the Wolds and heading towards Cadwell again we ease off the throttle and start the cool down as I head off back home into Louth. Sweet.....
