Hopefully summer is here! So some lucky person could come away with my Astra Convertible in a week's time! It is a 1993 Astra Bertone 2.0 L. MOT'd until April '09 and taxed until the end of June '08. It has a power hood with no splits, tears or gaffa tape anywhere. 4x electric windows. Power steering and is a 5 speed manual. Bodywork is in good condition with only a blister of rust by the top of the hood lid. Bearing in mind it is 15 years old please don't turn up and expect a brand new car (I'm told these people are out there in eBay land!) That said, in my opinion this car is in very very good condition. The 2.0L engine is very responsive as well as being very economical. At the time of writing this advert I have a table full of receipts (see photo) and handbooks that go with the car. The cam belt was changedat 136,000 miles(10,000 miles ago). Also fitted is a JVC CD player. The cover for the roof is also present (again in photo). On the slightly downside of things, the back box rubber split. A couple of weeks ago and it basically left me on a Sunday morning without a back box, so looking through my Aladin's cave of old bits, I found an old cherry bomb exhaust (you will know them if you are old school!) so that now replaces the rusted out original and it makes the car sound really nice and meaty! The driver's side seat has some wear. I'm probably making it sound worse than it is but feel free to come and see for yourself. If the car reaches £750, the wheels on he car can stay on (15" Vauxhall), if not, the original Bertone Alloys (14") will be put back on! (tyres all good).  The main reason for sale is that in my new job I get picked up and dropped off so the car is just not being used, which seems a shame to me. So if this car sells, I am going to buy an old custom car project for my old age. The car will be advertised elsewhere so may be pulled out at any time, unless it reaches £750 as previously stated, then it stays until the auction ends.
