Here we have my beloved Triumph Trident 750 bike up for sale. I purchased the bike a few months back knowing that the carbs / plugs need attention as the bike was left standing for months without being used. Unfortunately, this year is not going my way and the spare time I had allotted for this work no longer exists so without the time to spend on her (and my overwhelming desire to be on 2 wheels now) my wife “funded” (…and I’ve not heard the last of it!) me for a Yamaha XJ600N as my first bike (OK, technically 2^nd now). So she has to go (the bike, not the wife – Will be too expensive that one!).

My bike is Taxed to 31^st August and has an MOT to August 29^th 2008.

Work completed:

• I fitted a new set of spark plugs (actually a mate did this!).

Work required:

• The engine is fine but as the bike's last owner stood it for xx months without starting it, the carbs require stripping / cleaning as, at low revs the throttle response is very sluggish – At high revs, the bike is great and very fast (I have only ridden it once… and I like it).

• The fork seals need attention (not looked at).

• The rear break light doesn't work (switch or bulb - not looked at).

• The petrol tank has scratches on and there are some paint chips / light rust here and there (solvosol autosol worked wonders on a small patch of headlight housing!).

• The rear break disc needs replacing - I have a replacement disc but it's not fitted.

So that’s it, this is a really nice bike and doesn’t require a lot of work (for someone who knows what their doing) to be 100%.

I should also mention that I took off the mirrors and rather sensibly, misplaced them! If I can locate them before the auction ends then of course, they will be included otherwise please assume no mirrors!

Included with the bike is (as mentioned above) a replacement rear disc and a service manual (on CD ROM).

Now up for auction at GBP 400.00 with no reserve!!!
