Welcome to my auction for a Vauxhall Nova saloon. I bought the car from my friend's wife in November 2006 to transfer its original registration number, and this is me just getting round to selling it on! I've moved house a couple of times in this period so it's not been high on the list of priorities...
Its condition / history is as follows. The car has been well looked after and is in good mechanical condition, although the body is showing rust in various stages around the doors and wheel arches. It passed its MOT in November without needing any bodywork or welding, and it has only been driven to England since then, so should be fine for its MOT this year. I put new handbrake cables on the car but otherwise it's in the condition I bought it. The car drives well although one CV joint grumbles a bit. You can't feel it, but you can hear it. As I've never used the car much I can't say for sure I know every fault but here are the ones I do know about:-
- the noisy CV joint
- near side doors don't open - you may need to take door cards off and find the problem with the mechanism
- cassette stuck in tape player - still works, but hope you like U2!
- aerial broken
I'm realistic about what it's worth, so please don't expect a car in 100% perfect condition. It's ideal for a couple of years cheap motoring and won't need much spent on it at all. The boot is huge so if you're after something for lugging stuff around this could be ideal. It really is a genuine car and has been owned by my friend's wife since 1999. It hasn't done many miles in that time and their neighbour owned a garage so it always got what it needed. The front discs and pads are fairly new, all the tyres are good, and the spare key is present as well. By the way, the boot carpet is there - I just took it out to photo the floor.
It even comes with more than half a tank of petrol!
Any questions please drop me a note and I'll get straight back to you.
Remember, you're bidding to buy. If you want to come and see the car please get in touch during the auction, or if you want any particular photos just ask.
