This is my cherished MADZA 626 GT 16 valve 2 litre petrol. Bought as a project ... it has good points (LOADS) and bad points (few) ... which I will list below...

GOOD points :

Within the last 10,000 miles the following have been added.

1. One set of 4 alloy wheels (17") and Avon 215/45 ZZ3 tyres

2. High brightness Headlamp bulbs fitted.

3. New Alternator.

Within the last 5000 miles the following work has been done.

1. All round new suspension, Mazda sport springs, Sport shock absorber kit.

2. New Clutch

3. New HT leads

4. New Water pump

5. New cambelt and tensioner kit.

6. Two additional new front tyres.

7. Head skimmed, gas tested and new head gasket - just replaced and head torqued CORRECTLY.

8. New rear anti-roll assembly.

9. Still cruises nicely on the motorway all day, handles like a dream.

10. All electric windows, wing mirrors, cruise control, aircon, and sunroof work and no leaks.

11. 4 brand new brake discs and pads.

12. Clifford Alarm system and immobiliser with two coded 'keys'.

13. 2 door / ignition keys.

14. Central locking.

BAD points ...

1. Drivers seat has worn through the fabric to the foam on the entry side.

2. Stain on the rear centre armrest, a set of seat covers and a valet would make it look like new inside.

3. ...well not really bad .. but the floorpan interior was sealed with a special rustproof plastic coating

and at the same time the sills were injected with polyurethane foam which stiffens the chassis and reduces noise.

The rear wings have also has some foam insertion ot reduce noise..and soundproofing material has been added under the rear seat trim.

4. The rear driver side wing has had a small dent and is only bashed out so needs filling. Actually it's pretty much

OK .. look at the photo? This was the previous owner .. I've not bothered to do anything on the bodywork as the

project (which was to include a complete respray) has been terminated by 'she who must be obeyed'.

5. There are various nicks, dents, and paint chips due to its age (again - previous owner/s)...this was going to be renovated completely, but the wife says

it's time to go :-((

6. Front passenger door central locking sometimes doesn't unlock - needs adjusting.

7. Boot area is a bit of a mess, the plastic surround stuff is all broken and someone has split cream emulsion paint on the carpet in the boot.

8. The drivers arm rest pad area plastic surface has a split in it ... and the rear tyres after 10k miles are legal, but slightly worn at the edges (due to the failing rear rollbar mount bushes - now fixed).

9. Radio aerial has been vandalised, electric bit works OK but appears to be broken internally and doesn't auto extend. It is partly extended permanently.Spare wheel is alloy and the same overall rolling diameter .. but of a different style.

Low reserve of £250, over a thousand pounds spent in the last 18 months....this is a great car. Call me on 07917 825161 if you have any questions..

Drive away a bargain. Overall this is a great car to drive .. just in midst of the renovation project.

May meet the successful buyer at a nearby rail station if auctioned for sensible price.
