Introduction
This is a rare manual coupe (suspension was uprated on manual cars so ride is quite firm) looks sleek as ever in Arctic Blue with dark red coachline and grey half-leather interior. It is shod with original Jaguar lattice alloys and 5 good Pirelli P6ooos. It has the original Jaguar stereo with 6-CD changer in boot and is equipped with automatic climate control, power windows and seats as standard. It is also fitted with the optional trip computer.
This is a very genuine and original car (90,009 miles), owned by me for the past 4 years, regularly used and maintained by Jaguar specialist regardless of cost - complete with service history, original documents, handbook Jaguar toolkit & touch-up pens. MoT & Tax (Sep '08).
External
The paintwork is still lustrous and bodywork generally in excellent order for the age of the car, subject to the following exceptions:
- Very small/shallow dint in middle of bonnet caused by falling item - paint unbroken and can only be seen if head lowered.
- Tiny rust bubble on front nearside wing on top of headlamp cowl and even smaller spot on rear bumper.
- Alloys refurbished when I bought the car but there is now some minor flaking of the wheel paint.
- Minor car-park scuffs to drivers and passenger doors
- Rear offside [smoked] stop light cover sports hairline crack but does not impair operation.
I'm being very open about these minor imperfections but she's still a beauty turning heads and winning admiring looks wherever she goes.
There are no rips or tears in the upholstery and the headlining is intact. The sports seats have grey herringbone tweed inlay panels (so comfortable whatever the weather) with grey leather trim. There are minor signs of wear to the leather bolster to the right of the driver's seat squab (caused by entry/exit wear) and a small mark on the tweed (barely noticeable - may scrub out). The carpets are all in good order and are covered with overmats. I recently replaced the original ski slope (wood veneer top to central console which had become cracked and chipped) with a refurbished one which looks stunning.
Mechanical
The car drives as it should, both in a straight line and round corners; the engine runs smooth; there are no creaks, rattles or wobbles. It has been driven sensibly and regularly returns about 19-24 mpg (combined) on regular unleaded. The climate control works properly (both hot and cold).
Terms
This is a quality, genuine car and the lucky buyer is unlikely to be disappointed. It is offered for sale with a sensible reserve. You are bidding to buy, not to look so tyre-kickers and other timewasters please look elsewhere. Bids from parties who have not viewed the car may be rejected out of hand so please contact me first if you have a good reason for this. Also if you have eBay feedback of less than 15 or positive feedback less than 98%, please contact me before bidding.
It can be seen in Watford (Hertfordshire) and I will be happy to collect prospective buyers from [and return them to] Watford Junction or Watford Metropolitan Line stations. The car is also advertised elsewhere so the auction may be ended sooner than the scheduled end time so bid early to avoid disappointment.
Please also note that to test drive the car you will need your drivers licencse and proof of [comprehensive] insurance cover (under your existing personal or trader's policy).
I will accept payment by cash, internet banking transfer or personal cheque but the car cannot be released until funds are cleared. For the avoidance of doubt it is offered and will be sold 'as seen' and delivery is not offered.
