WELCOME TO MY AUCTION FOR MY DODGE RAM 250 DAY VAN. I HAVE OWNED THIS VAN FOR THE LAST 4 AND 1/2 YRS. OUR CIRCUMSTANCES HAVE CHANGED AND BASICALLY WE DON'T NEED TWO VEHICLES. AS MY WIFE DOESN'T DRIVE THIS ONE, THIS IS THE ONE TO GO.
THIS IS THE 3.9L VERSION AND HAS AN LPG CONVERSION, WHICH MAKES A DIFFERENCE WHEN LPG IS ONLY 50-55P PER LITRE. IT HAS SEVEN SEATS, ALL WITH BELTS (THE FAR REAR BEING LAP BELTS). THE REAR SEAT FOLDS DOWN INTO A DOUBLE BED WHICH IS DONE MANUALLY. THERE ARE NO RIPS OR TEARS IN THE SEATS. IT COMES FITTED WITH FACTORY STANDARD RADIO/CASSETTE BUT I DO HAVE A TAPE THAT SLOTS IN ALLOWING YOU TO PLAY YOUR MP3 OR PORTABLE CD PLAYER. ALL ELECTRICS WORK APART FROM THE CRUISE CONTROL WHICH DIDN'T WORK WHEN I GOT IT AND I DIDN'T FEEL THE NEED TO LOOK INTO FIXING IT. THE AIR CON COMES ON BUT I WOULD SAY IT NEEDS RE-GASSING IT'S NEVER BEEN WARM ENOUGH FOR ME TO CHECK IT OUT. IT HAS A DETACHABLE TOW BAR AND WILL COME WITH AN EXTRA NUMBER PLATE FOR WHEN YOU TOW. IT HAD NEW FRONT CALIPERS AND PADS, ( ANOTHER NEW SPARE SET TO BE INCLUDED WITH SALE), AND NEW REAR SHOES SIX MONTHS AGO. IT HAS HAD BOTH REAR HAND BRAKE CABLES REPLACED, THE LATEST ONE WAS 4 MONTHS AGO. THE AUTOMATIC GEARBOX HAS HAD A NEW FILTER CHANGED IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS. THE BACK BOX WAS CHANGED TWO YEARS AGO BECAUSE IT HAD BEEN DENTED AND A USED STEERING BOX REPLACED THE ORGINAL ONE. THE OIL AND OIL FILTER HAVE BEEN CHANGED REGULARLY. THE REAR AND SIDE WINDOWS HAVE BEEN TINTED AND THERE ARE PRIVACY BLINDS IN THE BACK. IT HAS MOOD LIGHTING AND A TV AERIEL INSIDE ALTHOUGH I'VE NEVER USED IT. IT IS IN REGULAR USE AND I DO REGULAR 250 MILE ROUND TRIPS TO VISIT RELATIVES .
SINCE I 'VE HAD IT I HAVE TAKEN CARE OF IT. HOWEVER THERE ARE TWO SMALL DENTS TO THE REAR CORNER (SEE PHOTO) ONE DONE WHILST I WAS AWAY FROM THE VAN AND THE OTHER WAS THE PREVIOUS OWNER AS WAS THE FRONT BUMPER WHICH HAS A DENT AT THE BOTTOM. THE VEHICLE IS 17YRS OLD AND SOME OF THE PAINT IS FLAKING LEAVING GREY UNDERCOAT. THE BOTTOM OF THE SILLS HAVE HAD SOME SORT OF RUBBER SUBSTANCE PUT ON OVER TRESTED SURFACE RUST AREAS READY TO BE RUBBED DOWN. AS WITH MOST VEHICLES THERE ARE QUIRKS AND THIS VEHICLE IS NO EXCEPTION. AFTER CHANGING THE FUEL PUMP TWICE( NO FUN AS YOU HAVE TO DROP THE FUEL TANK) MY FRIENDLY AA MAN TOLD ME HOW TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM AND 2YRS ON IT WORKS FINE . I'LL EXPLAIN MORE TO THE WINNING BIDDER.
