1991 ROVER MINI MAYFAIR RED

For sale is my cherished Mini Mayfair, i Have owned it since Febuary and have decided to sell it to raise money for a deposit on a house. It is Mot ed till June next year and taxed till end of Feb next year. Millage is very low at 42600 and can be backed up by full service history and mot's.

Car was in a bit of a mess when i bought it, since then i have replaced the full front end (2 wings 2 a panels and the bit around the number plate), replaced the nearside door and had the offside door re skined then the front end and both sides was re sprayed. I have replaced all the moving parts in the Distributor and installed a kenwood cd player with some small speakers in the front and replaced the parcel shelf speakers as 1 didnt work. Then came MOT time and again more fun and games for the Mot i replaced the rear subframe, rear brake pads, handbrake cable, front and rear suspension and nearside and off side Sills.

There are a few bad points the surround around the choke knob and the hazzard button is loose everything still works just needs tightening/adjusting. Unfortunatly the new spray job on the front end and sides left a few issues, there is a slight defect on the nearside where the paint had built up ready to run (but it didnt run) and also in joins where the wings meet the windscreen shelf there is a slight crack in the paint work. I have been back in touch with phil at luxuryminis.com (where the work was carried out) and he has told me he will correct the defects but due to illness i have not been able to get it too him. I am currently looking at a mobile paint repair man, but As it stands i am selling with the defects and will update if and when i get the defects repaired.There is also a slight knocking when you accelerate and brake and i have been informed that it is a worn rubber busher on the engine mount.

Lovely little car starts first time (with choke if cold) and ticks over lovely without choke once warmed up, I have tried to keep the car as it came out of the factory as i was told it would hold more value ready to drive away  and is a blank canvass for anyone wanting to 'pimp' a mini.

Car is in york, And can be viewed/test drove most evenings.

The buy it now price is reflecting  the defects and reflecting a £100 reduction for the work needed to stop the knocking, it is a low price for a quick sale.
