The atmosphere is electric as we share three days in the fast lane at the British Grand Prix with Nigel Mansell, his family and the Williams-Renault team in this video specially commissioned by Nigel himself. Never before have the intimate details of a driver, his car and the whole glamorous but gruelling jamboree of motor racing been so candidly revealed.

Against a background of relaxed baseball with family and friends, and minute-by-minute life in his motorhome, Nigel prepares to make his bid to extend his outstanding record on home soil. His ability never in question, Silverstone 1991 was the perfect occasion to show his skills and with everything to drive for in front of a fanatically loyal 150,000 strong crowd, it was the big chance to break Senna's stranglehold on the 1991 Formula One Drivers' World Championship.

Mansell takes us through every stage of the action himself, confiding his inner thoughts, hopes and fears. The qualifying rounds are nerve-racking but a final blistering time on the new Silverstone circuit tailor-made for his V10 Williams-Renault puts the racing ace in pole position on the grid.

On the big day we join the crowded gates at 5am, then observe the careful preperation of people and machinery in the gripping build up. It's all here as we follow Nigel's every move, through morning practice and pre-race briefings right up to the green light that starts the shattering crescendo of noise and power as the titanic high-speed struggle begins. The predicted battle with Senna is short-lived and, despite gearbox problems, Mansell dominates the race throughout, finally taking the chequered flag in flamboyant style and keeping his Championship hopes alive to the ecstatic delight of his fans.
