Get ready for the summer !

Please let me tell you about this car and in doing so, when i upload the pictures you will hopefully appreciate when you see her that i have been open and honest to how she looks.

This is a Mazda mx5 eunos  1.6i Rare Automatic, registered over here in 1998. The original number plate makes it a H reg 1991 model. Mileage is 136000 km which equates to around 86000 miles around  5000 a year for its age

About the car itself. I spotted the Mazda up for sale on a drive not far from where i was working looking neglected  and in need of some tlc, what struck me about her at first was the private plate starting with the letters MAZ???? i phoned my boss (Trevor) because i thought he would be interested, what with his his wifes name being Marion. Well then the story of her really takes off because he bought the car on my say so, and we trailored her away to his house because of no mot and it was sorn off the road. To cut a very long story short i had second thoughts  about the Mazda not because it wasn't worth it, far from it, but because i wished i had bought her myself. A week went past and i sulked like a spoilt kid. What made it even worse was i obtained an imobiliser key because the owner had lost the original gave it to my boss who kindly phoned me to say listen to this, ( the engine was purring like a kitten ) GUTTED ! was an under statement to how i felt. My sulking must of been that bad that eventually i was handed the keys along with the folder of history with the words Sulky written on it (Thanks Trev ! )

Anyway i bought the Mazda and here is what i did.

Replaced the brake shoes.

Replaced the rear exhaust.

Replaced the head rest speakers

Fitted engine strut bar ( Holds the road better )

Had her completeley re-sprayed in original red.

Put some lovely new alloys and tyres on her.

Fully mot'ed and 5 months tax

Exterior;

This car is 17 years old and looks absolutely stunning. Theres no filler, the body work is rust free. Being an automatic you drive with it in overdrive, switching the overdrive off puts it into sports mode ( Longer revs between gear change ) everything works as it should,

Interior;

The imported mx 5 's come with a lot more spec as standard ie; Power steering, air con, electric windows etc, etc. The previous owners must of loved this car, its had Leather seats, dash, and door cards all done very nicely. The leather on the drivers seat is showing signs of wear and is cracked in places, This is me just being picky but i am being as honest as i can. The auto gear shift lever could do with the lettering being touched up this has faded due to its age and the fact it was'nt used for quite a while, this is me being picky again.
