This mini has been my pride and joy since i first had it fully restored and built to my specification in autumn 2006 (see pictures to show restoration work) by M & R restorations based near Stowmarket.

Before i purchased it i had the car HPI checked (still have paperwork to prove). It has also never been smoked in since i have owned it.

It has been painted Old english white with a black roof .

I have always been a fan of the rover cooper so naturally i ordered that the car be fitted with sportspack style arches. However, these have been bonded to the car, to keep the lines nice and smooth (a lot of people use rubber strips which is admittedly easier, however i feel it doesnt look as good)

To fill the arches i needed a nice wide wheel and like many others opted for 13x7" superlights. (To set the black roof off i went for black with a polished rim, they look great) Laced onto the front wheels are brand new continental sport contact tyres (have done less than 50 miles)

Other brightwork was fitted to compliment the exterior. this includes a chrome front grille and surround, chrome headlight bezels, Chrome wing mirrors, chrome front bumper and chrome badges (front and rear)

Inside the car i had the horrible grey interior ripped out and some black vinyl seats fitted (look so much better) and black carpet to match (also in the boot). An astrali steering wheel, 8 ball gearknob and chrome door handle set were also fitted.

The car also comes with a CD player fitted in a custom centre console.

The engine is a 998cc fitted with a stage 1 kit. This is cheap to insure but still goes well around town. It also has a full stainless exhaust system with centre exit twin DTM backbox (looks and sounds great)

Knowing how mini's tend to be i decided to have the car professionally waxoiled last autumn. Despite this, it was still taken off the road and garaged throughout the winter. So no salt has had the chance to touch the underside of the car.

The only bad points i can say about the car are that there are the slightest signs of surface rust starting to show through the paint near the front scuttle panel and by the front wings. However, this is only the very very early stages and if caught early will be no problem at all. (please see the pictures)Also there is a crack on the drivers door skin. The car is not laquered so easy to have someone touch up the areas in need of attention and then just polish everything flat together. This is very very minimal and i only mentioned it to be honest.

Overall, this is a great little car. It has never let me down. It has done several long journeys (including to M.I.T.P last year) and never skipped a beat. She turns heads wherever she goes and it so much fun to drive.

I will be so sorry to see her go. I have a genuine reason for selling her and if i had my way i would keep her. I would like to see her go to an enthusiast and not someone who wont appreciate a gorgeous example of a classic mini.

I also have a remote central locking and alarm kit(purchased from mini spares), which i have never had the time to fit and is still in the box which i would let go for £100 if you are interested (i paid £185 for it last year.
