Ok here we have my pride and joy... i have had it 8 months now and have decided to sell for a larger bike... The Bike itself is a Kawazaki ZXR400 H Model. It was first registered in Japan in 1990. It was then brought overseas and was first registered in the UK in 1991. Now because the bike originated from Japan this means it has the KM/h clocks. But dont worry i have place a MPH sticker over the original clocks and it has been Tested and it 100% accurate. Now the advantages of this being a Japanese Import is the fact it is de-restricted, unlike its British brothers it is not limited to 33BHP and can achieve a top speed of up to 132MPH as apposed to the British L model of 110MPH. I have raced this on a track and have got 127MPH from it so i know it can shift.
Ok i thought i would do a change of pace and bring the bad news first... (not as bad as it sounds... honest)
- Slight paint scratches to the front fairing... (pictures to follow)
- Slight paint scratches to the left fairing... (pictures to follow)
- Small break in the left fairing due to a car driving into the side of it... (pictures to follow)
- Usual Stone chips to paintwork.
- Sometimes it wont start first time in cold weather but add some choke and have about 9 seconds of patients and its starts
Now for the Serious points....
- This bikes production ended 15 years ago so some parts are hard to get hold of... whilst others can be replaced with universal parts.
- Milage is around 55149 but this is in Kilometers not Miles
- This is not for the faint hearted as it will leave you gasping for air and wanting more
But now for the good points..
- Very reliable bike
- New Front and rear tyre that have only seen 200 miles of road.
- New head gasket
- Micron Exhaust system.
- New Front and rear brakes fitted less than 2 months ago
- New front fork seals fitted 2 weeks ago
- Purple anodized clutch lever, front break lever, front screen and footpegs.
- Carbon fibre rear indicators
- New front radiators fitted 7 months ago.
- Comes with 2 sets of Wheels - the white ones pictured and a set of green ones. to match body work.
- Comes with many many spares i have collected over the past few months as well..
I really cant stress how much fun this bike is to ride for a 400cc.. Its a real head turner.. its stunning .. sounds great and it always leaves you wanting more...and the more u pull back the throttle the more it gives. This bike is perfect for someone who would like to continue to look after it from stepping up from a lower spec bike or for someone who likes the old classics.
Either way you will be pleased to have purchased this bike... The bike runs perfectly.. has MOT and TAX till august. No other mechanical faults i can think of....
... now for the serious bits..
