This is a rare opportunity to own a genuine low mileage classic Jaguar XJS Convertible in stunning condition.
I’m listing the car on behalf of my father, a Jaguar enthusiast and member of the official Jaguar enthusiast members club. He has owned the car as a second vehicle for 11 years over which time the car has been garaged and only used for pleasure purposes such as attending members club meets and shows hence the low mileage.
The car was first registered in the Isle of Man by its original owner in 1990 who was in possession of the vehicle until 1997. It was imported and registered in the UK by a dealer who sold the car to my father. The dealer who the car was purchased from has regularly serviced, MOT’d and maintained the car. The car currently has a 12 month MOT and will be supplied with all available MOT’s and service history.
Enthusiasts will notice that the original owner opted for the twin headlight conversion developed by Jaguar for the American market which makes this vehicle extremely rare especially being right hand drive with this specification.
The car is being sold in perfect mechanical working order. The metallic silver blue coachwork is in excellent condition. The interior features light grey leather with veneered walnut dash and console. A couple of the veneer inlays have slight cracks however this is not uncommon for the age and replacements are available should this be an issue. Other than that the carpets and leather are in very good condition. The car is fitted with air con however this requires attention (or you can just drop the top if it's hot enough). Although a 2 seater the car has been fitted with an interior matching rear bench seat and seat belts ideal for smaller members of the family.
The car has been recently valued for insurance purposes by the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club for £11000.00. This is for insurance purposes and my father is aware that the market for this type of classic vehicle does fluctuate. Based on this I’m starting the auction at just £5750.00 with no reserve!
