Ford Escort xr3i

1990

I bought this car earlier this year with a view to preparing it for racing in the Ford Saloon Car Challange. Since then I have done absolutely nothing to it and have now decided to buy a pre 1966 car to compete in Historic Saloon Car Series.

The car is in generally good order for its age and would be suitable for converting for track day use, putting back on the road as a cheap run around or for the enthusiast would be ideal for restoration back to its former glory. I bought the car as I needed something with a solid shell for racing and the only rust I know of is around the rear arches. This is not too bad and the previous owner has half completed a repair. I have left the arches in the primer so you can see the extent of the work needed. Inside the interior could do with a good clean and the radio has been long removed. The car has 5 good alloys and tyres.

The car has no tax or test but was running when I bought it and I drove it on and off the transporter. The battery is flat and i havent run it for a number of months but I have no reason to believe that with a good charge and some petrol in the tank she will not fire up straight away.  

I do have a car trailer and can deliver the car anywhere in the uk for £1 per mile.
