my volvo 740 for sale mainly because its automatic and its starting to get on my nerves-- boring to drive, and i'm forgetting how to drive a normal car.

it starts and drives ok, the inside is still habitable (unlike some 740's ive seen) .   sorry it hasnt got much tax and test.

i purchased it in december when i returned home from australia, i needed a 740 quickly and the only decent one i could find was auto, but now i have found a manual one.

bad points--  the exterior has the usual number of small nicks and dents

                   some rust by the side panel indicator, which is unusual as they are galvanised  (see picture)

                   a scuff along the near side front arch (see picture) i photo'd this twice because it does not show well on pictures

                  the speedo doesnt work

                  piece of loose plastic on dash (see pic)

                  edge of drivers chair coming adrift (you can see on pictures if you look close)  although the chair feels as it should when you sit in it

                   casette player says 'code' when you switch it on

                 it has 3 different keys,  this means that some locks have been changed at some time

                 the offside rear window doesnt work, the drivers window works off the offside rear window button,and the front passenger can open the window but has to ask the driver if he wants it closed again.

thats all i can think of at the moment, i will add anything else that occurs to me later - if i can think of anything

                    the previous owner to me was an elderly gent, he owned it many years so i think its fair to assume its been driven sensibly for most of its life.  Its got no to bar so i dont think its ever done any serious work,  and someone has gone to the trouble of touching in the few stone chips on the front edge of the bonnet which suggests to me its been cared for at least a little

  no foreign bidders, no bidders with less than 10 points(sorry)
