1989 AUSTIN MINI THIRTY RED

This auction is for my much loved Limited Edition Mini 30. For those who dont know, the Mini 30 is the special birthday edition and this great example is 1 of only 3000 made that were released for sale in the uk only.

I have owned this car for over two years now and have enjoyed driving it very much. In the time i have owned him i have spent well over £2500 on him in an attempt to restore it to it's former glory, so far i have had the doors reskinned, rust treated and considerable welding work done. At this time the car is declared sorn as a pre-mot check discovered that the rear subframe will need to be replaced along with work to a couple seals, as i have nor the time or experience to carry out the work myself, i decided to store him in the garage untill i had the funds to have the work done but unfortunately that opportunity hasnt yet arisen and so i have decided to sell him onto someone who can spend the time on him he deserves. He has been kept off road since the mot ran out a few months ago but started regulary so its is not left idle to seize up and i am please to say, he still starts first time every time! As you will see from the pictures, there is some rust in the usual places and a couple of small dents in the rear bumper but for its age it is relatively good condition. The original half leather sports seats and walnut dash are in almost immaculate condition and it is a nice tidy car in general. I recently purchased a set of reconditioned Minilight alloys which are on him now but the auction will also include the original set of Minilights i bought him with, and a spare 998cc engine.

N.B The spare engine was salvaged from a mini that was written off so some of the engine cases are damaged.

Also you can't see very well in the pictures but the seems under the headlights are rusty.
