You are bidding on my 1988 Signal Red 5.3 litre V12 Jaguar XJS TWR Sport with 88,742 miles. First registered on 01.08.1988 ("F" Registration). I have owned the car for the last 8 years, but have decided to sell her through lack of use, having driven only 10,000 miles during this time. She has been SORN for the last 3 years, but was MOT'd last year and is now back on the road on a classic limited mileage insurance policy (circa £220 p.a.)

Large history file and Jaguar heritage certificate with the car. Lots of bills and receipts right back to the original owner and supplying dealer.

In summary, this Jaguar is an XJS TWR Sport having many TWR features, and I believe was the forerunner to the 5.3 and 6.0 litre body kit versions. It has TWR engine plates and air filter casings, TWR suspension, TWR Rear Spoiler and Speedline Alloys. When I bought her I had all the injectors ultrasonically cleaned, new distributor cap, rotor and HT leads & plugs, and the car rolling road tuned - engine was still pushing out a sweet 300bhp as it was when it left the Jaguar Browns Lane factory.

Suspension; Full TWR Bilstein shocks and springs as fitted to the 6 litre version. New rear trailing arms. New front anti roll bar links and bushes.

Wheels; Refurbished TWR 16" Speedline Alloys with 225 x 55 Pirellis. Tyres are new on front.

Brakes; New brake pads front and rear

Body; Extensive restoration in 2003 with replacement door skins, trunk lid drop panel, lower rear fenders, lower front fenders, front fender sections, new TWR boot spoiler. All work and full repaint by SGM Coachworks in Banbury at a cost circa £4,000. Very solid with none of the usual rust areas.

This is a super XJS in excellent condition, looks fantastic with gleaming red paint and shiny chrome complimented by magnolia Recaro leather trim. Please don't expect to get her in your garage for the price of a tardy, tired example of the mark but the driving experience will definitely be worth it. Can only appreciate in value as good examples become harder to find.
