I haved owned this car since 1987. It has been off the road for about eight years. It has been kept in a garage until a couple of months ago. During the eight years I have occasionally taken it out and given it a run, the last time being a couple of months ago when I moved it onto my drive. Each time I have put the battery back in, it has started and run nicely after a couple of minutes.
The service history is complete up until the current milage although it really hasn't done any milage of note in the last eight years.
The car is a Jaguar and even though it has been kept garaged, it is beginning to rust. Several spots are now visible, I took it for an MOT two years ago and it failed on the sills, a sticky brake caliper (lack of use) and hand brake adjustment. So to get an MOT it will at least need these three things sorted. I have tried to show the rust spots in the pictures.
On the positive side, the car has full service history, is 100% genuine with all old MOT's, the original documentation and still has the Jaguar tool box in the boot and has original Jaguar grey shag pile mats front and back. All the tyres are in good condition and everything works (door handles, lights, computer etc)(last time I checked). It has a jaguar phone kit fitted and I still have the handset somewhere (this was the old analogue type so won't work nowdays).
The car is probably worth more as parts as anyone who has had to replace door handles etc will know. It could be a lovely classic car if someone was to put the time and effort into it.
