In excellent condition in rare Metallic black with black leather & fully working air conditioning.
Previously owned by a Ferrari club official, so well known & has been displayed as you can see.
Has full comprihensive Ferrari history & she is about to go in for another service at Charles Ivey only 1000 miles after the last full service(I was advised to do this after a long period of inactivity).
I`ve driven her less than an hour in the last year, so I`ve reluctantly decided its time to let her go.
Extras include Thatcham alarm/immobiliser system & a comprihensive Alpine stereo system.
She is as wonderful as youd expect & the sound! it makes the hairs on your neck stand up! you have to experience it...
I spent a long time looking for a black GTSi with fuel injection (alot more reliable, smoother & economical than the quad carb setup), then I came upon this one, saw it also had the Quattrovalvole (32 valve) engine as well as working air conditioning, original optional rear roof spoiler & an outstanding(& well hidden) stereo system & HAD to have her!
Th Quattrovalvole is regarded as THE model to own combining devistating performance, a soundtrack like nothing else & superb handling (I expected it to be a nervous twitchy experience, but instantly realised she was as accurate & enjoyable as a go kart!), with supreme reliability & economy.
Being metallic black also makes the car so much more subtle, attractive & tasteful (I wanted to own & enjoy one, not feel like I`m yelling "LOOK AT ME!" at the top of my voice like red & yellow ones seem to!).
She could be a concourse winner with some effort.
Any questions, please ask!
Viewing is possible, she`s located in the North Essex / Cambridge area.

Because of this I cant take any more pictures & they have the service history so I cant give much information regarding the history. If I remember rightly the last service had the timing belt change & was at Charles Ivey which was less than 1000 miles ago.
Grimaldi are well known in Ferrari circles, I told them to do EVERYTHING needed, I was advised by them that only a minor service was required as she`s done such little mileage since the last major one. They havent called me to advise of any other issues, so I assume its all going well.
To let you know about servicing, the 308 costs significantly less than my modern Porsche & Jaguar (nearly 1/2 the cost in fact), so dispite what you may have heard, they arent rediculously expensive to keep maintained properly.
They are also capable of well over 100,000 miles without major overhauls if serviced correctly(which this one has been).
Also bear in mind that this IS the ultimate version of the 308, the early ones are temprimental, unreliable & less economical, they also cost more as the carbs constantly go out of tune. They usually have issues with starting & run rough because of this. The 16 valve ones are reliable & economical, but have significanly less power than the carb ones. The final one, the 32 valve injection (which mine is), has ALL the power of the original but with all the reliability & economy of the injected ones.
This one is the final 308 evoloution & is the best version & the easiest to live with!

I`ve been asked a few questions (and been made offers which I`m considering).
The gearbox. The gearbox is fine & smoothly selects all gears with no fuss after being warmed up for a few miles (like all Ferrari`s), they are slightly notchy when cold & you have to drive gently untill they are warmed up, otherwise you will do serious damage to the gearbox, the moral is, if you want your Ferrari to last, be gentle with her till she`s warmed up!
Bodywork. There is no rust, dents or any sign of accident damage.
Interior. The leather has a slightly aged patena as you`d expect after 24 years! there are no splits or nicks & it had been fed with leather food regulary to keep it all supple.
Targa top. There is very little in the way of wear, I dont know if it leaks in the rain as its not been driven in the rain! it all works as it should though & the seals seem fine, so I wouldnt have thought it leaks.

I expect to have her back by the middle of next week, I will then be able to take more pictures & let you know more about the history.
Many thanks.
