1984 Datsun 280zx 2+2 Targa Auto

She's in good overall condition having aquired a new MOT in September, and will be sold with road tax to the end of May 2010.

Recently new tyres x4, coil and leads, spark plugs, K&N air filter, exhaust mid and rear sections and sundry other service items. Aside from a JVC DAB radio/CD player (KD-DB101), she is standard and everything works as it should. The original Datusn branded radio (which works) and Clarion cassette player (which does not) plus original facia all also included should you wish to revert to standard.

The wheels are from an earlier model 280zx but I do have the correct ones for this car with their OEM Dunlop Denovo2 run-flat tyres still with legal tread depth and these, plus a fifth original spec wheel, are included in this sale.

Although mileage can't be verified I have concurrent MOTs back to 2005 when she had 31282 miles showing, plus one issued in 1998 when she showed 30112. The overall condition of the interior is good and suggests the miles are right - and she runs very well with the  beautifully smooth 2.8 litre straight six and three-speed auto gearbox, starting first time every time. Other paperwork is the V5, original sales invoice and warranty book, an original dealer's sales brochure, a Chilton manual and the JVC instruction book.  

The pictures show that rust has started to bubble up in a few places, being the roof, a couple of wheel arches and the rear panel above the number plate (all pictured). The front lip of the bonnet has some blisters and there are one or two other small areas that won't photograph. I am not an expert but would imagine that these are relatively minor issues for this model. I think the wings were new at some stage recently as these are in perfect condition, as far as I can see. Some welding was required to the chassis for the new MOT.  

The car had one owner for the first 21 years and since then, myself and one other. Registration number is included in the sale too, this was valued at £600 some time ago (valuation included). 

She is advertised elsewhere so I reserve the right to end the auction early.
