this is a Honda CB125 TD-C, registered in 1983, and as far as i am aware, is completely standard spec, apart from the gear selector, which has been modified to replace the honda original ball joints, which tend to wear out.   approx 36500 miles on the clock .    V5 present.   fast becoming a collectors item.

MOT til end of Feb 2009, and Road tax til end of Feb 2009 barely done 50-100 miles since the MOT..  looking at it, i believe its still the original honda paint and has never been resprayed.  all panels are straight, no dents to the tank but the paint has faded and a few rust spots on top of the tank.  (see the photos). Paintwork is ok, faded in places,  dont expect a showpiece.     brand new front tyre which still has the nobbles on it, so easy to see its hardly been used.  originally brought by me as a restoration project a few months ago with the intention to use it every day to get to and from work.  only reason i am seling it is because ive now passed my direct access, so am now running a bigger bike and could do with a bit of space.

it needs the carbs balancing properly, and a new throttle cable as the one on it sticks sometimes.  i have already got the throttle cable and that will be supplied with the bike.  i never got round to changing the cable, and hence no point in setting up the carbs.  Recent top end rebuild, including piston rings and valve stem seals, newplugs also.  still being run in from that.   .  keys are original and all locks work from the key (matching set).  seat cover is a new replacement.  not an original but looks ok though.  Rev counter is tempramental, and works at its own pace.  ive swapped the cable but it makes no difference, so it must be the clock itself.

front brake calliper has been fully overhauled within the last month, with new pistons and seals.  new brake fluid etc, and now works lovely, as previously seized up.   brand new battery on the bike in January this year.  front forks are getting ready for attention.  not done anything to them, but possibly an oil change is needed.

ive enjoyed using it on the road.  there is rust on the bike but then again it is 25 years old, and for that reason, cos of the age, it is entirely sold as seen.

the pictures show it to have  fairing brackets on it.  these will not come with the bike.  ive tried to be as honest as possible and need to make some space before my wife files for divorce.

can be delivered to anywhere in surrounding counties to Derbyshire, but will not deliver further than that.  i will need to charge 75p per mile for delivery, to cover my costs.  cash on collection only, no paypal.  collection of the bike within 7 days of auction end, and any non payers will be reported and negative feedback left.  (sorry for that, but dont want to get stung.)   feel free to ask questions.

something to point out.  ive taken it for a run out today, and at first the engine appears to be getting choked up.  probably because of the carbs needing balancing, but the higher the revs, it then clears.  Advertised elsewhere, but up til going on ebay, and probably the bad weather, little interest.  now im getting interest like no tomorrow.  so as advertised elsewhere, i reserve the right to end the auction early, but hope to leave it to run full term.

if i dont reply to any questions its probably because im on shift work, so bear with me.

ive uploaded a couple more pictures, and noticed that the bike has only just passed 36000 miles so lower than i thought.

the engine tends to miss slightly on the left cylinder at low revs, but will spring to life a higher revs and when the engine is hot, ive been told this is down to the carb balancing issues which should rectify it.  part of the top end rebuild was all the valves being lapped in, so there should be no problems with the valves.  also there is an in line fuel filter which i am sure is not helping things, so i intend to remove that and see how it runs after.  to cut it short, the person who had it before me, put a small car in line filter on it, but anyone who knows the type of bike will know there is not room for it to be done without wrapping the fuel lines around the carbs, which can lead to starvation of fuel.    someone with time to spend on it will make a really nice bike.  again as before, ive got alot of interest this time, so intend all being well to leave it on ebay til the end.

thanks for the offers ive been getting, but i will not swap the bike, and again thanks to people for the offers to buy it cash straight away, but thats against Ebay rules, so please dont ask.

no problems with anyone wanting to see the bike, but again bear in mind i work shifts.

also i will give the winner a Haynes manual for the bike (not new).  i got it cos these are so easy to do repairs to yourself, and the old manuals show you how to do pretty much everything.

removed the in line fuel filter, and taken the bike for a good run.   seems to have sorted the problem with left cylinder, and has been riding round at 55 - 60 mph easily with me on it, and i'm no slim jim.  was a nice run, and no spluttering, and no choking /starvation, so would appear the fault was the fuel filter..

Engine now running lovely.  been out for a long ride, never missed a beat.
