Lady Diana Spencer
Photographed by Snowdon

Writing this just before the tenth anniversary of her death one remembers the very real excitement that Prince Charles was to marry such a fresh young woman. There was a genuine welcome for her from the British public and even those who weren’t ardent Royal watchers were genuinely interested. Vogues opening paragraph to this 3 page feature by Antonia Williams captures the mood…
“The reaction to theThe Royal Ballet engagement of Lady Diana Spencer and the Prince of Walker has revealed vast numbers of hitherto unsuspected Royalists. Romance is in the air, the obvious delight is catching. Fv foot ten and long-legged like her mother, it is rather as if a charming young giraffe had wandered into the Royal enclosure. Pleasing to look at and to listen to, Lady Diana is also strong-minded, innocent and idealistic – how else, at not yet twenty, could she take on such responsibility?
The Royal Ballet

CONDITION: Very Good
This vintage magazine is 27 years old and is in very good condition throughout. The colour is bright and the pages are flat and tight.
STILL IN VOGUE has a policy of honesty in the description of the vintage and used magazines we sell. This may work against us in that we draw attention to damage and it sounds much worse than it is. Not all vintage magazine sellers offer individual condition reports so one is left to assume their magazines are all in mint condition. We hope however that you, the buyer, appreciate that we want to supply you with goods that will match or exceed your expectations and not dash them.
POSTAGE: Vogue issues vary in weight enormously so the postal charges reflect the cost. All parcels are sturdily wrapped to prevent damage in the post. All items are posted 1st Class, proof of postage certificate obtained. We post six days a week. Happy to post overseas, please email destination for costs. We do not seek to profit from P&P charges.
