1980 HONDA CX 500 BLACK

This bike might be almost 30 years old, but i feel you will struggle to find a newer bike this reliable.

I have owned this bike since 2003, when i aquired it it was looking a little rough but it was running like a dream, that i feel is the beauty of this bike. For the first 2 years i had the bike i spent time and money trying to get it back to it's former glory, which was almost achieved, i changed a number of things, the swing arm, stands and front forks. It looked very impressive. at this time i had plenty of time and a garage. Then i lost the use of the garage and my time was used up and i had to use the bike every day. Luckily for me it never let me down wind, rain or snow this fantastic bike started up first time every time. Sadly eventhough i have got a garage, i have to sell it. If you look closely at the photos you will see it is showing the signs of the use it has had in the last 2 years. This bike has new tyres, it has been serviced regularly all the time i have had it. it passes it's MOT with very little fuss.

This bike has been relisted because as i said  the bike has spent some time out of a garage, it has also not been used regularly, recently. The brakes are binding slightly, so therefore if you need to ride this bike a long distance, then it would be advisable to have them serviced. This bike is almost thirty years old, it is not in immaculate condition, otherwise i would expect twice the reserve price. I do though feel it is worth at least, the reserve price.
