Can Am Bombardier, 250cc two stroke. Genuine 7,700 miles. Now in plain olive drab [some pictures show it before it was repainted.] Taxed and tested until next September. Bought specifically to do the Beamish Trial last September. Covered the 110 mile cross country trip without a hiccup. This bike has one of the sweetest two stroke engines I have had and this fact was remarked upon by a number of Beamish riders. Now reluctantly for sale to fund next years entry which is likely to be British [Greeves or similar]. This bike upon decommissioning was bought by the Captain of the regiment as a keepsake. He had it for a number of years and did no miles. It then was used to do some light greenlaning. It has had no significant use and rides as if it was new. Rear tyre is excellent; front is good. Starts first kick and the left hand kickstart is easy to use [unlike an Armstrong]. It has no known faults but now needs a new inner speedo cable. Spares are not a problem and easily sourced on the intenet or on ebay. I am not looking for a fortune and have set a realistic reserve. Winning bidder to pay £100 via paypal as a deposit within 24 hours of end of auction; remainder upon collection or via cleared cheque. |
