1977 Queen's Silver Jubilee
five pound coin size prooflike
Commemorative Crown Coin

Issued to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Queen's accession to the throne in 1952
as determined by the Royal Proclamation on 17th December 1976.

The latest coins I have unearthed are in fantastic shiney prooflike BU ( Bright Uncirculated ) mint condition
( the best I have seen ) and if you are looking for one of these then dont miss this opportunity
and end up with a shabby one from elsewhere.

The designs, which are by Arnold Machin OBE, RA,
show the Ampulla and Annointing Spoonthat were used in the Coronation ceremony.
These are believed to to date respectively to the 14th and 12th centuries
and are probably the oldest items in the Royal Regalia to have remained in continual use.
On the obverse is HRH the Queen on horseback in her role as Commander-in-Chief of the Grenadier Guards

Condition:
I am no expert but would think this coin would be viewed as 9/10
BU proofloke condition as there is little, if any surface scratching
( Library picture used, but I can confirm that the coin is in similar condition )
