I have for sale my 1997 GS750 Suzuki.
Originally came from Canada.
First off, ignore the date on the pictures .... it is a new camera and I havent got round to setting the date and time on it !!!!
Lots done to it, so here goes ....
Forks were reground and rebuilt (bills to prove), so almost like new. Fresh oil just put in.
Brand new headstock bearings just fitted.
Bottom yoke repainted, top yoke freshly powdercoated.
Original clocks were in KPH, but have sourced a really good set of MPH clocks, cleaned the bezels and repainted them, replaced all the old bulbs. Analogue gear indicator which works perfectly.
All cables are nearly new.
Handlebar switchgear has been polished.
2 new GS-style chrome front indicators.
Marshall deeptone full exhaust system.
Wheels were rusty so the rust was removed and given a coat of paint.
wheel bearings are in good condition.
2 good tyres.
All brake calipers have been overhauled, with new seals and pads and assembled using proper brake grease, and all the fittings have been repaced with new stainless items, including the brake banjo bolts and bleed nipples.
Goodridge stainless hoses.
Virtually all the nuts and bolts on the bike have been replaced with stainless items which have been mirror polished.
All spindles have been nickel plated after polishing along with the wheel adjusters.
Many parts have been powdercoated (torque arm, handlebars, sidestand and spring, engine mounts, headlight mounts, front footrest mounts), gear lever, brake lever).
Complete chrome Bandit headlight unit.
Hagon rear shocks almost as new.
New footrest rubbers.
Sump was removed and cleaned, and fresh oil and a new filter put in.
The petrol tank was cleaned out and although it wasnt leaking I gave it a coating of petseal, which should greatly extend its life.
I have spend a lot of time and money on this bike so far, preparing all the parts for powdercoating and plating and polishing all the allen bolts, etc,
However, it still needs a little work doing to it. The headgasket leaks a little at the front, in the middle and oil can be seen bubbling here when the engine is hot. I do have a complete top end gasket set for the bike which I will give to the buyer, but I think the bike would benefit from a top end overhaul (decoke and regrinding the valves in). Lack of funds (unemployment) have stopped me completing it.
Bike is on SORN so no tax or MOT, so the bike would have to be taken away in a van or on a trailer.
You would be getting a classic machine for your money and a little work.
Viewing is recommended, just give me a ring on 07845702293. Any more info I can give you just call me, I am only glad to help.
If the bike doesnt meet its reserve price, I may keep it or strip it.
At end of sale, paypal me a £50 deposit (non refundable) and the balance in cash.
