Suzuki GT380 Project Bike Registered 1976, black
Classic 3 cylinder 2 stroke Suzuki, icon of the 70’s.
Best described as a project, bike 99% complete, only thing I see is missing is the horn button. Has been laid up for several years and therefore the engine will require a total strip down.
Will try to describe main items,
Tank in good condition, no corrosion or dents. Still has fuel and therefore not leaking. No visible corrosion on inside. Rub to paint work in one place which could be touched up.
Seat – good condition, no rips, tears or holes.
Front forks – in good condition, no visible rust corrosion or pitting, alloy lower sections in very good condition. (better than my modern road bike).
Wheels – there is slight pitting to the chrome work, but this may polish out. There is also light rust on spokes on rear wheel but again this would clean up.
Exhausts – these are solid with some small dents on one silencer. The chrome work is dull and scratched with some rust in places which could be cleaned up. Chrome flaking off in one position. Depending on standard these would require re-chroming
Fenders – both fenders have signs of pitting and surface corrosion, but are serviceable in the short term. The rear may clean up.
Engine – as said earlier this would require complete strip down, as far as I know it is complete.
Chain and sprockets, these look to be in very good condition and were well lubed before the bike was laid up.
V5 document in my name.
I bought bike a year ago with the intention of restoring it for the Sunday jaunt and round a few classic events. Haven’t had time to touch and recent job change has made situation worse. Time to let someone else have ago.
Bike is in Aberdeen, but can make arrangements to have it transported anywhere in the UK, just ask for a price.
Email any questions
Received many questions regarding shipping bike to various locations, have spoken with the transport company we use for work and came up with the following –
Cost to ship between Aberdeen and Lancaster area which would include Ayrshire, Glasgow, borders, Lake District etc - £125
Aberdeen to Manchester - £195, could be less if the delivery could be timed with a part load heading in that direction.
Aberdeen to Gwent, South Wales – £250 -350 could be less if the delivery could be timed with a part load heading in that direction.
Aberdeen to London £250 -350 could be less if the delivery could be timed with a part load heading in that direction. Also will depend on location in London
Aberdeen to Heysham - ferry crossing to Northern Ireland - £125
