A huge crown sized silver proof 1 Leone from Sierra Leone. The coin was minted in 1974 to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Bank of Sierra Leone. It features the president Dr Siaka Stevens with the crest of the Bank on the reverse - a lovely design of a lion guarding a treasure chest.

Around 38 mm in diameter and 28 grammes of sterling silver.

It is presented in a capsule, in a red Royal Mint case - no Certificate with this coin - but I can assure you it is the genuine article.
