Here is my beloved Fender Twin Reverb. I believe it's birthday was March 17th 1971. I have owned it since 1992 - I bought it from a country player who I seem to remember had owned it from new. I have always looked after it but rarely gigged with it, due to it's volume and weight (It has casters on it that obviously help with the transportation, but also make it even heavier).

I had it 'Blackfaced' several years ago by a pro, and it's since been serviced regularly by a reputable guitar & amp tech (it's last service/valve change was a couple of months ago). It is absolutely in sound working order with a tone to die for. I took it out to play the other night as a sort of 'goodbye', and several people just said to me "Don't sell it!" - the tone was incredible. Reverb & tremolo work as they should, although there is no foot switch, so there is a special plug to activate the tremolo which I just leave in there.

It is a little tatty around the edges, like many amps of this age - the tolex has the odd tear, and small bits missing here and there. And there are a couple of minor holes in the grille cloth. But none of them are too bad - I am happy to provide better photos of these marks if people need them. Plus I was given a 70s Twin cover a while ago that I will throw in to the winning bidder.

These pre-Master volume Fenders are becoming more and more collectable, and many people site these JBL Twins as the best of the time. The speakers are in great condition and just SING in that special JBL way! The amp is obviously essentially clean, but LOUD. And works very well with pedals (Hendrix used to sometimes use Twins in the studio), and also great in conjunction with other amps. LOCAL PICKUP ONLY -
