1970s LEATHER & CHROME EKORNES RECLINER CHAIRS retro

A pair of 1970s leather & chrome Stressless recliner chairs by Ekornes of Norway.

A lovely example of late century Scandinavian design. Beautiful, high grade leather upholstery on a chromed swivel and recline base.

Extremely high quality in terms of both design and construction. Ekornes are acknowledged as one of the finest exponents of 20th century chair design and a rare opportunity to purchase a matching pair.

Both chairs are in very good original condition. A good strong gleam to the chrome and the leather is soft, supple and has aged beautifully developing a lovely patina.  Both the swivel and recline functions work perfectly.

Very, very comfortable chairs and perfect for reclining in at the end of a long day. Each chair reclines to almost fully horizontal. The chairs can be adjusted to either a sliding position to move with the body or a fixed position - both easily achieved by turning a knob on the side of the chair.

Each chair measures 83cm in width, 70cm in depth, extending to 125cm when fully reclined and 100cm in height. Seat height measures 45 cm from the floor.
