Terylene fabric and Bri Nylon are widely advertised and much admired for its bright colours and easy handling and had been gaining ground since the late 1950s it is interesting to see that the Cotton Council and Real New Wool also have an advertising presence too. This is still the era of homemade clothes or using a dress maker. Stockings are advertised tights were not yet available. The sixties may have been swinging but the under garments still look pretty sturdy with girdles that would certainly fortify most foundations!
Features include:
High summer! Super Elegant! French Dressing!
Best Buys here, winners away: simply British, Simply stunning
Young idea fall for dotty voile and a skipping scatterbrained summer
CONDITION: Very Good
This vintage magazine is 43 years old and is in remarkably good condition throughout. The pages are flat and tight. Check-out the scan of the cover, it is the magazine on offer not a stock photograph. There is a slight blemish at thetop of V in VOGUE - it is faint and otherwise this light coloured background on the cover is very clean. There light wear on the edge of the cover on the bottom 8cm - itis still intact but slightly faded.
STILL IN VOGUE has a policy of honesty in the description of the vintage and used magazines we sell. This may work against us in that we draw attention to damage and it sounds much worse than it is. Not all vintage magazine sellers offer individual condition reports so one is left to assume their magazines are all in mint condition. We hope however that you, the buyer, appreciate that we want to supply you with goods that will match or exceed your expectations and not dash them.
POSTAGE: Vogue issues vary in weight enormously so the postal charges reflect the cost. All parcels are sturdily wrapped to prevent damage in the post. All items are posted 1st Class, proof of postage certificate obtained. We post six days a week. Happy to post overseas, please email destination for costs.
