ATLANTIC THE COMPLETE STORY OF ALL BY LONDON FIRST EDITION
Frank Ellis was a pioneer Canadian pilot who built and flew his own aircraft at Calgary prior to August 1914. After his retirement from active flying in the 1930's, he became a Canadian aviation historian and is noted for "Canada's Flying Heritage" published in 1954. Part of the preface states : This book is the story of the struggle to master the Atlantic; it describes in detail all the successes and failures of the Death and Glory years, including the serious attempts which never came to anything. It is a complete account of this fascinating chapter in the history of aviation. Chapter titles The Visionaries (1859-1914). By Way of the Azores (1919).
