THE COMPLETE STORY OF ALL
NORTH ATLANTIC FLIGHTS AND ATTEMPTS
DURING THE PIONEER YEARS FROM 1910 TO 1940

BY
FRANK H. ELLIS
AND
ELSIE M. ELLIS

LONDON
1963
FIRST EDITION

Frank Ellis was a pioneer Canadian pilot who built and flew his own aircraft at Calgary prior to August 1914. After his retirement from active flying in the 1930's, he became a Canadian aviation historian and is noted for "Canada's Flying Heritage" published in 1954.

Part of the preface states : This book is the story of the struggle to master the Atlantic; it describes in detail all the successes and failures of the Death and Glory years, including the serious attempts which never came to anything. It is a complete account of this fascinating chapter in the history of aviation.
