1962 BSA Dandy in nice presentable condition.
I bought the bike a while ago and have since obtained an MOT/tax (until March 09) it so it is fully ready for the road.
The previous owner had just completed the restoration but had left a few areas to tidy up- notably when selecting one of the two gear positions it seems to only find second gear. I guess this may be down to cable adjustment.
When I first bought the bike it started easily and I rode it on local lanes, however recently it has been more reluctant to kickstart.
It will fire up when bump started though. The spark is good, it feels more like fuel starvation - an issue which might be easily sorted by someone who knows more about these bikes than I do...
There is a little paint blistering around the fuel filler but otherwise the bike has a good finish, giving you an opportunity to obtain a very tidy road legal example of a rare British scooter from the 60s.
Finally Im not sure if the reg is transferable- the V5 doesnt have any comments regarding this but you should check with the DVLA to clarify the status if necessary.
