This
motorcycle is a 1961 Matchless G3 350 cc. It was originally supplied
by Arter Brothers of Barham and has its local registration number.
The fork stanchions, fork seal holders, seat cover and exhaust were
replaced about 10 years ago and the bike was repainted.
Presently,
the appearance of the motorcycle would not be described as showroom
condition but, as can be seen from the photographs, it's pretty tidy.
It passed an MOT without problems last month and can be ridden away.
The only
slight problems are some flaking paint on the front mudguard and the
odometer no longer working (the speedometer is fine). Also, the
battery could do with being replaced, although the present one is OK
if you are prepared to charge it every week or so.
I have
owned this motorcycle for over 10 years, used it on a regular basis
and it has never let me down. I am selling it because recently I
have not ridden it very often and I need the garage space for another
project.
