1961 Francis Barnett pre 65 vintage 250 trials bike classic off road.
Lovely Francis Barnett 250cc motorcycle in trials/trail/green lane trim. The machine was extensively rebuilt/ restored some years ago and has only been on display since forming part of a private collection. The restoration was done to a high standard with no expense spared. We have just started the bike and can report that it ran very nicely and all gears etc worked. The tyres etc are unused. Frame and engine numbers are present but the bike being a competition bike is not registered, however with a dating letter & mot this would not be a problem. The bike looks lovely and the only visible faults are a broken ball end off the front brake lever and a paint chip on the N/S of the petrol tank [approx 25mm]. When viewed it is obvious that the bike has had a lot of money/time spent on it way in excess of it's present value, all nuts/bolts chrome & alloy parts are in lovely condition. Due to the fact that this machine has purely been a show piece since restoration I would advise that it would require a thorough inspection and minor adjustments plus an obvious running in period. Viewing possible by prior arrangement, please, please only bid to buy. Foreign bidders please contact prior to bidding, and payment within 48 hours, collection within 7 days of auction end. Many thanks.
