No matter what is said about smoking, many of us have great nostalgia for the days that smoking was a pleasure unsullied by the activities of do-gooders. Yes, there is a risk from it, but the only two people who I know who have died young from "smoking-related diseases" were both professional drivers - and didn't smoke.Interesting that since I stopped working in London, 2 years ago, I've lost my chronic cough and have not had an asthma attack, yet I still smoke my pipe.

"Never go without a Capstan" was an advertising mantra somewhat similar to McDonald's current grunt "I'm lovin' it". These days it is "never go without an unavoidable regular inhalation of vehicle exhaust fumes".

Ah well, rant over. I'll go back to selling beermats.
