Ludwig 1960 Jazz Size Super Classic,
Downbeat White Marine Pearl Drum Kit

This is a vintage Ludwig Super Classic Downbeat drum kit in a White Marine Pearl. Pre-Serial Number Keystone Badges and stamped bass drum shell date this drum kit to 1960. A very nice example of a vintage Ludwig Downbeat. The White Marine Pearl wrap is in great condition, with only subtle yellowing on rack tom and bass drum, although the floor tom has almost maintained its original colour, as can be seen from the photos. The 3ply shells with reinforcement hoops have been well preserved and all the chrome hardware has very minimal wear. All original components and Chrome on Brass Hoops.

The drum kit has been carefully serviced and fitted with Brand New REMO Coated Ambassador heads (top and bottom), and a Brand New REMO Coated Ambassador Bass Drum Head, and includes the original 'Play On Plastic' Front Head.

Chrome Hardware, Original Factory Reso-Coat Inside Shell
Rare Original Ludwig Mounts and Legs

20" x 14" Bass Drum - Pre-Serial Badge Mahogany/Poplar/Maple Shell w/ Maple Reinforcement Rings Chrome Hardware, 1x Gretsch Cymbal Arm Bracket, Natural Maple Inside Finish
Stamped: November 29th 1960 & Original Spurs

NOTE: The single modification to the drum kit is the Gretsch Cymbal Arm mount, which also dates around the early 1960s and has been professionally fitted, so we feel the mount may have been fitted by the dealer when the drum kit was originally purchased.
