1957 Norton Dominator 77 excellent example 600cc
Here is a rare and handsome 600cc Norton Dominator. This bike is in lovely all round condition. It has matching engine & frame numbers and also its original registration.
It is very easy to start, first or second kick every time. The engine sounds good, quite loud and throaty. There is no smoke in the exhaust.
This bike is very good to ride. It handles precisely and goes well, breezing up to 60mph effortlessly.
Brakes are good , speedometer is working well and the dynamo is charging well.
The gearbox and clutch are very good all the gears are smooth and neutral is easy to find.
The bike has a very good centre stand and also a robust sidestand.
There is a V5C registration document, reg XAH 883, date of registration 10-10-57
Frame number is N15 75096
Engine number N15 75096
There is a full MOT, until May 2009.It has histroic class (free) road tax, valid until end June 2008.
Cosmetically the bike is excellent but not perfect. This bike has been used and although the paintwork is to a very high standard of stoving there are some signs of use, eg the front mudguard has had a bad scratch touched up.
Chrome work is all near perfect. The side panels of the tank have dulled a bit in places and may eventually need re-chroming to make perfect.
The spokes are stainless and the rims have excellent chrome.
Tyres are as new Avon Road Runners.
This is an eyecatching very handsome and unusual old Norton!
