1953-1993 ELIZABETH II CORONATION ANNIVERSARY SILVER £5 COIN

This is from my own collection, there will be more silver coins / crowns and some real nice ones being put on ebay shortley, keep an eye on my other items!

 

Coronation 40th Anniversary Crown

The 1993 Crown was struck to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey in1953.

Diameter 38.61mm 28.28 Grams Silver Proof

Front

At the centre of the obverse design is the Mary Gillick uncrowned young head portrait of the Queen, as on almost all British coins from 1953 to decimalisation. This effigy is encircled by mounted trumpeters separated by swords and sceptres of the Royal Regalia.
The obverse design is by Robert Elderton.

Reverse

The reverse design, also by Robert Elderton, features at the centre, St. Edward's crown, which was used at the coronation of the Queen. It is surrounded by forty trumpets in celebration of the happy occasion, evoking memories of the blaze of trumpets which welcomed the Queen as she entered Westminster Abbey on Coronation day.
